Te Matatini

After a Covid hiatus, Te Matatini – the festival of kapa haka – was back. And this time, it was hosted in Tāmaki Makaurau. Alongside Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, we helped bring haka to the masses while building Tāmaki's brand as a cultural capital of the world. Our campaign, ‘Haka is Here,’ captured the long-awaited return of Te Matatini and Auckland's celebration of haka fever. We collaborated with top performers to create a multi-channel campaign, with stylised photography and a video with a contemporary soundtrack to showcase the power of kapa haka.
